Trunk Show at Anica Boutique and Holiday Party!

I hope to see you there!  You can read more about Anica Boutique and their blog too!

Anica Boutique is featured in the eat shop guide for San Francisco.  I love how it is noted as minimalist women's fashion!  They carry the most amazing designers and the shop is beautiful!  It is going to be a fun event!

More animals...

I was doing some photo shoots of the new products for the Spring 2011 catalog and I often use props to style with the dishes.  Of course I usually use food for the tabletop items...but I noticed that I have quite a fine collection of little plastic animals that I sometimes like to use.  Here are my little friends!

Animals and Anthropologie!

I received the most recent catalog from Anthropologie in the mail and I absolutely LOVED the photos they did with the animals!  They are always so super creative with their shop window displays and the photo shoots for their catalog but this one was so particularly adorable that I had to scan the images to show you!  I hope you enjoy!  (You can click on the photos for a full view).
The three little piglets are so cute with the snuggly scarfs!
I love the sheep with the boots!
As you can guess, I have a thing for rabbits...
The perfectly coiffed poodle...so civilized!
And then there is Zoe's take on the whole thing:

Rootbeer anyone?

I am thinking of introducing a new color for Spring 2011 and calling it "Rootbeer".  What do you think?  This is different from the previous color called "Ebony" which was a really dark brown that looked almost black unless you hold it up to the light where you can see the brown undertones.

The new "Rootbeer" color reminds me of the old style stubby beer bottles and rootbeer!
Maybe an icy cold rootbeer or beer would taste better out of this cup!
Let me know what you think!

I had the pleasure of meeting Sandy Chilewich, the designer and creative director for Chilewich | Sultan, LLC in New York and again in Paris since we both exhibit our collections at the New York International Gift Fair and at Maison & Objet in Paris.  Sandy is the amazing person behind Chilewich!  She already had a long list of incredible accomplishments to her resume before launching the current product line of distinctive vinyl textiles.  The collection now includes tablemats, woven floormats, window shades, napkin rings, pet mats, iPhone cases, and bags!  I think she is incredibly talented and her products are really unique, beautiful, and functional.

Imagine how thrilled I was when she chose my tabletop pieces to be photographed with her tablemats in her upcoming catalog!  Here are the photos from her photoshoot!
(you can click on the images to enlarge them)
I love how the green in her tablemats plays off the green of my resin dishes and spoons!
...and the round shapes of her tablemats are so perfectly styled with the little round dishes!  Wow!
Even more amazing was the photographer who did the photoshoot...Victor Schrager!  I have only admired Victor's work from afar through his photographs in his editorial and advertising work.  He is a very accomplished photographer and his work has been in exhibitions at some of the best museums and galleries in the US and abroad.  You can click here and here to find out more about him!
