Sweet Freaks

A few of my new Spring 2012 designs was selected for the Sweet Freaks exhibition at Maison & Objet!  This collection was curated by Nelly Rodi, trend forecasters that search out new concepts, talents, brands, and products.

 Here's a little background on the concept behind the collection.  It is really about non-conformity, imagination, unexpected creativity, forgetting fears and constraints in design.  We shouldn't be afraid of "blooming strangeness which wards off mass melancholy"!  "Like a fairytale on acid..."  Quite amusing!

Jadeite Green and Barneys!

One of the exciting projects this Spring was working with Barney's New York to make my collection in the exclusive Jadeite Green color for their stores!

Here is how it turned out!  I think the color is amazing!  It looks so fresh, retro cool, and feels like spring!  It almost looks like milk glass.  Let me if you like it!

Perfect for the summer salad!

I had no idea...but I was so thrilled when various people emailed me with photos of my designs in their display window!  Wow!  My head has been so buried in work and seeing this was such a wonderful surprise!

You can visit Barney's to see this collection in the stores now!  It is available at the New York Madison Avenue store, Chicago, and Beverly Hills.

SF Made

Waaaaay back in February, SF Made had an Opening Celebration of the pop-up shop at Banana Republic which lasts until Memorial Day weekend.  The flagship store on Grant Avenue featured products designed and manufactured in San Francisco.

 

The very talented Madeline Trait used a selection of my vases for her pop-up shop!  She does bespoke flower arrangements, events, and installations.  Here are photos I am finally getting to posting from the event!

 Yes!  That is Woofy you see on the shelf with the dog collars and leashes!

 These are the Vince Bud Vases and the Hannes Vessels in Grey.  They complement the colors of the flowers beautifully!

 Here are the vases again in Signal Red.
